Feedback Roulette

This has been implemented. Star ratings have moved below text fields and now they are mandatory.

Retest option has been implemented as a part of premium membership.

This is on our list. We plan to implement automatic capturing of user agent and OS data and attaching it to the review.

We still haven't figured out what to do if one opens the site being reviewed in another browser bypassing any redirect links, etc. Please share your ideas on this topic.

Completed. Not only English, but all top popular languages have been moved to the top, sorted by popularity.

We can add a check-box in "Language Preferences" section that will say "Show only sites in a language I understand".

But there are two implications:
1) You might run out of sites that are available for review faster.
2) As much as we are trying to encourage it, not everyone sets the languages for their sites yet, and we don't detect it automatically yet.

I think eventually this option might become available as we are growing larger. Please vote, if you think you will benefit from this.

We are planning to do this. The generator we are using now does not allow frequent updates, but we will switch to a more advanced version soon. We are aware of the issue, please bear with the current version for a while.

This has been done. Now at the bottom of the page (in "Skip Review" section) there is a check-box, that allows to mark a site as inappropriate. You can also select that reason in a combo box (we decided that it's so important that it makes sense to dedicate a separate check-box for it).

This is in our "todo" list. We are planning to do a complete "facelift" for Feedback Roulette after we're through with beta stage. At that time we will match our blog theme so that it looks like an organic part of the website.

We've added premium (paid) feedback points. The pricing model is interesting. We've decided to let the market decide how much a feedback point is worth. So we made the pricing dynamic. It depends on how many sites are currently in the review queue and the "velocity" of reviews being done. The main idea is to allow a reasonable turnaround time for sites who have bought premium feedback points. So the price goes up exponentially as there are more sites and less reviewers, and drops (again exponentially) if there are not too many sites in the queue. Ah... math :)

We are planning to add an auto-save feature for review, so that you can navigate away from it and have access to it later.

Still, there is a limited time window of 5 hours for completing a review, because the Feedback Points are actually locked-in, when someone is reviewing a site.

UPDATE: This has been done. Now that we have auto-save for drafts, it is possible to navigate away or close the review page. The 5 hour window for completing a review is still valid though.

Thank you for the detailed feedback. We are currently collecting feedback from our users to improve the sign up process (feedbackroulette.com is currently in the roulette with questions concerning registration). We agree with your opinion - it is necessary to mention that a password is sent by e-mail after the registration. We will add this shortly.

UPDATE: This has been fixed. There's a new step in sign-up process that informs new users about an e-mail containing the password.

This is on our list. Will be implemented as we get to it.

UPDATE: This has been implemented. Now it is possible to edit URLs or completely remove websites.

Thanks for your suggestion. Yes, currently it's impossible for the site owner to notify his reviewers about the changes. But we have a few features in mind which will allow this.

Can you please explain what you mean by "decreasing number of votes"? I don't quite understand your idea.

It looks like this only takes place in Fireworks. We increased auto-save interval to 60 seconds, which makes this less annoying, still we're still investigating the cause of the bug.

UPDATE: This issue seems to be resolved in the newer version of firefox.

Hi Brian,

You have to refer at least 10 people to qualify for the 30 FPs award. Also, please note that the referrals you bring should write at least one useful review. Users just signing up but never using the service don't count.
